Lawrence passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services. Lawrence was born June 1, 1915, to Sebastian and Barbara (Ochs) Lacher on the family farm near Zeeland, N.D. He attended country school and then worked for the Civil Conservation Corps on the Richmond Lake dam. He married Caroline A. Schaeffer Sept. 29, 1941, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen. They farmed in the Richmond area until moving to Aberdeen in 1956. He was the manager of Lacy Dairy Bar until retiring in 1982. He enjoyed playing cards and dancing. He and Caroline went dancing every Saturday night until the early 2000's. He was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and also a Vikings fan. He liked attending the Aberdeen Pheasants baseball games. Lawrence was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights Of Columbus 4th Degree, Catholic Order of Foresters and the Moose Lodge of Aberdeen. Preceding in death are his parents, eight brothers and five sisters. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Caroline of Aberdeen; his children, Donna (Bob) Olson of Stuart, Iowa, Dianne (George) Dell and Shirley (Dennis) Arment, both of Aberdeen, Wayne (Michelle) Lacher of Stuart, Iowa; six grandchildren, Brent Dell, Dawn (Josh) Heupel, Derek Arment, Spencer Arment, McKelle Lacher and Elle Lacher; one sister, Marie (Don) Green of Rochester, Minn., and one brother, John (Susan) Lacher of Aberdeen.
