Description	:	DWIGHT — Lawrence "Larry" Lee Sedlak was born on April 2, 1944, in David City, to Joseph and Frances (Coufal) Sedlak, and passed away on December 29, 2012, in Lincoln, at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 27 days. Larry grew up in Dwight and was a 1961 graduate of East Butler High School. He enlisted into the United States Navy in 1962. He served on the U.S.S. Read More	DWIGHT — Lawrence "Larry" Lee Sedlak was born on April 2, 1944, in David City, to Joseph and Frances (Coufal) Sedlak, and passed away on December 29, 2012, in Lincoln, at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 27 days. Larry grew up in Dwight and was a 1961 graduate of East Butler High School. He enlisted into the United States Navy in 1962. He served on the U.S.S. Oklahoma City, where he was stationed at Treasure Island near San Francisco, Hawaii, Japan, and also near Vietnam. Larry was honorably discharged in 1966. Larry returned to Dwight where he repaired TVs and was employed at ISCO in Lincoln, where he retired after 44 years of service. Larry also played in several bands in the area including, Ernie and the Countrymen, Tony Bouc, Home Grown and the last 20 years with the Country Troubadours. Larry enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, traveling all over the United States. Larry was a life time member of Assumption Catholic Church, in Dwight, and Dwight Legion Post #110. Larry is survived by his wife, Susie, of Dwight; three children, Krystal Sedlak, of Lincoln, Tyler Sedlak, of Lincoln, Jenny Jewell, and husband, John, of Tucson, Ariz.; two step sons, Brian Styskal, and wife, Lynn, and Rob Styskal, all of David City; seven grandchildren, Jack and Alex Jewell, Nathan, Morgan, Lauren, Noah and Seth Styskal; four sisters-in-law, Arlene Sedlak, Joyce Draper, Maxine Freeman, and Mary Williams; three brothers-in-law, George, and wife, Nida Huisenga, Howard Huisenga, and Dan Schmidt; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry is preceded in death by in parents; mother and father-in-law; son, Curtis; brother, Richard; sister, Shirley, and her husband, Jack Sargent; two brothers-in-law, Robert and Richard Huisenga; and sister-in-law, Laura Schmidt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Assumption Catholic Church, in Dwight, with Father Jerel Scholl celebrating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Sedlak family, Dwight Legion Post #110 or the Dwight Fire Department. Zabka Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
