Description	:	Lawrence Olen Gochenour, 90, of Luray, died on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at MontVue Nursing Home. He was born on Jan. 23, 1925, in Luray and was a son of the late Ernest Olden Gochenour and Annie Belle Gochenour. Mr. Gochenour had worked at Page Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Stanley Baptist Church. On Nov. 1, 1945, he married Virginia Maude Dodson Gochenour, who died on March 5, 2006. Reed and Virginia Stidham, both of Luray; a brother, Daniel Gochenour of Luray; 18 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Joan Gochenour and Kathryn A. Spain; three sons, Charles C. and Louis L. Spain, and Wayne O. Gochenour; three brothers, Archie, Leo and Virgil Gochenour; and a sister, Mary Susan Gochenour. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Lighthouse Gospel Church by Evangelist Earl E. Painter and the Rev. Donnie Sherfey. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray. The family was to receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the church.
