Description	:	Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," July 30, 1975: Lawrence O. (Larry) Hood, 74, of 101 Hamilton died Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. at Ottumwa Hospital. He was born March 11, 1901, in Des Moines, the son of Mahlon and Delia Holman Hood. An Ottumwa resident since 1948, he was a John Deere Ottumwa Works employee for 21 years, retiring in 1966. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. The service will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles T. Rinkel Jr. of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
