He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons and daughters-in-law, Clete and Barbara of Raymond, Nebraska, Ken and Joan, Larry Benes, Terry and Jan, and Jeff and Julie, all of Lincoln; daughter, Anita Benes of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Henrietta Benes of Bee, Ivan and Jane Benes and Raymond and Barbara Benes, all of Valparaiso, Edwin and Sally Benes of Lincoln; sister, Lillian Potter of Valparaiso; nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 17 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 14th and K Streets in Lincoln with Monsignor David Hintz officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery at Agnew. Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. Sunday, March 15 at funeral home. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 16 at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street in Lincoln. Memorials may be made to Hospice of St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, St. Patrick's Catholic Church or Pink Sisters.
