Description	:	Lawrence "Larry" R. Phillips, 78, of Mooresville and formerly of Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in his home. He was born on January 8, 1934 to the late Glen Robert and Martha I (Smith) Phillips in Kokomo, Indiana and later graduated from Kokomo High School. Larry married his first wife, Marjorie J. Hale on July 31, 1955, and she preceded him in death on August 16, 1986. Larry worked for 31 years at Delco Electronics as a warehouse controller, and retired in 1983. Phillips, 78, of Mooresville and formerly of Kokomo, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in his home. He was born on January 8, 1934 to the late Glen Robert and Martha I (Smith) Phillips in Kokomo, Indiana and later graduated from Kokomo High School. Larry married his first wife, Marjorie J. Hale on July 31, 1955, and she preceded him in death on August 16, 1986. Larry worked for 31 years at Delco Electronics as a warehouse controller, and retired in 1983. He enjoyed using his hands and often had a wood working project going. Larry also enjoyed n-scale model railroading, and would spend long periods of time constructing a layout for himself and the grandchildren to enjoy for a few weeks before disassembling it and starting all over. On June 10, 1995, Larry took Susan E. Lybrook to be his wife, and she survives. Also surviving is a son, Rick (Sheryl) Phillips, Noblesville; step sons, Tim (Cathie) Lybrook, Bloomington and David (Ann) Lybrook, Cicero; a step daughter, Dr. Polly Lybrook, Bloomington, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving is Larry's brother, Mike Phillips, Nashville, Tennessee. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and first wife, Marjorie. There will be a funeral service held for Larry on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana, with Pastor Kenneth Spangler officiating. Following the funeral service, we will be taking Larry to his final resting place in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery, Kokomo. All of Larry's Friends and family are welcome to join for a time of visitation on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service, also at the mortuary. Contributions can be made in Larry's memory to the charity of one's choice.
