Description	:	Lawrence Cosand was born Feb. 18, 1927 at White Lake, South Dakota. When he was very young, his mother died from childbirth, leaving three young sons. He served in the US Army in World War II. On April 18, 1955, he wed Evelyn Weires in St. Peter's Catholic Church in White Lake. Three children were born to them. They farmed until moving into White Lake. His wife passed away in 1976. He continued to live in White Lake until ill health caused him to become a resident of the White Lake Nursing Home where he resided until 1992. He then... Read More	Lawrence Cosand was born Feb. 18, 1927 at White Lake, South Dakota. When he was very young, his mother died from childbirth, leaving three young sons. He served in the US Army in World War II. On April 18, 1955, he wed Evelyn Weires in St. Peter's Catholic Church in White Lake. Three children were born to them. They farmed until moving into White Lake. His wife passed away in 1976. He continued to live in White Lake until ill health caused him to become a resident of the White Lake Nursing Home where he resided until 1992. He then moved to Oregon to be with his son. He was a kindly person who greatly loved his children. He enjoyed working the soil, gardening was his favorite pastime and he shared the fruits of his labor with his neighbors and friends. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; his parents; and a sister, Gladys. He is survived by a daughter, Lori; two sons, Michael and Thomas; 5 grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Charles and James. ********************************
