Richards have been granted a marriage license. - Cause of death: pnuemonia ----------------- OBITUARY LOGANSPORT PHAROS-TRIBUNE Monday, February 8, 1937 Page 3 Col 4 81 YEAR OLD LADY DIES AT ROCHESTER ROCHESTER, IND - Mrs. Leah J. Craven, who approached her 82nd birthday, is dead at her home here after several days illness. Death was due to influenza. Mrs. Craven was a member of the pioneer Martin Carney family of Logansport and resided in that city at one time. As a young woman she was married to John Richards and resided in Francisville. Following the death of Mr. Richards, she married Noah Cravens of Rochester and came here to reside. Surviving are the son, Charles, with whom she resided; three step-sons, Fred Craven of South Bend, James of Colorado and Elmer of Michigan; three step-daughters, Ruth, Ella and Lily, all of California. Funeral rites will be held at the First Evangelical church here at 10 o'clock in the morning with burial here in the local cemetery. --- LOGANSPORT-PHAROS-TRIBUNE Tuesday, February 9, 1937 Page 8 BURIED MONDAY ROCHESTER, IND - Burial services for Mrs. Leah K. Craven, 91, were held here Monday morning following funeral rites conducted at the First Evangelical Church. ------------------------- age in obituary is incorrect Note: several obituaries from this same time period state "burial in the local cemetery." Leah may be buried in this cemetery with her husband and her son, or she may have been buried in a smaller cemetery somewhere between Rochester and Francisville (Pulaski County), Indiana.
