McCracken, 75, of Bonaparte, Iowa passed away on June 23, 2019 at Van Buren County Hospital. She was born on January 4, 1944 in Van Buren County, Iowa to Richard and Nellie Walter McCracken. After graduating from high school, Leah studied to be a registered nurses assistant. She worked in nursing at Van Buren County Hospital for more than 20 years. Leah and Gerald enjoyed traveling together. She was a member of the Bonaparte United Church and especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her significant other, Gerald Keller of Bonaparte, Iowa; a brother, Ervin McCracken of Bonaparte, Iowa; two sisters, Letha Mellinger of Bonaparte, Iowa; Donna Lou (Keith) Pratt of Birmingham, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Richard and Nellie McCracken; and two sisters, Vera Behm and Mary Alice Keller. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Pedrick Funeral Home – Keosauqua with Pastor Michael Elrod officiating. Burial will be in Bentonsport Cemetery following the service. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 with family present to greet friends from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home – Keosauqua.
