Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah. Leah was born Feb. 20, 1912, at Columbia, Texas, to Jacob and Barbara (Lautt) Kiehlbauch. She moved with her family to a farm northwest of Beulah at the age of 12. She was educated in rural schools. On Jan. 16, 1929, she married Carl Wittmaier at Beulah. They lived at Dakota Colleries Mining Camp at Zap until 1943. They farmed northeast of Zap until 1976 and retired into Beulah. She became a resident of Beulah Community Nursing Home in April 1995. She was a member of Beulah Church of God and an avid gardener. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Elaine, Bismarck; three grandchildren, Patricia Ertresvaag and her husband, James, Bismarck, James Wittmaier, Beulah, and Joan Sieler and her husband, Steven, Bismarck; seven great-grandchildren, Marie and Michael Ertresvaag, David and Mark Wittmaier, Timothy, Emily and Jason Sieler; three half-sisters, Esther Wolf, Hazen, Sophie Boeckel, Beulah, and Prina Dismond, Grand Junction, Ariz.; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in January 1994; her parents, two brothers, five sisters and and two great-grandchildren.
