Attended Lind schools through the eighth grade. Married George Becker Jr. on Sept 16, 1936 in Walla Walla. They returned to Ritzville and lived on the Becker family farm, 9 miles west of town. Sauer and wife, JoAnn of Ritzville; two grandchildren, Brian Sauer and wife, Teresa of Merdian, ID, and Connie Field and husband, Jeff of Lind; three great grandchildren, Aaron Sauer, Christina and Alan Field; sisters, Ella Iltz and husband, Elmer of Odessa, Esther Whitehead of Eugene, OR; half-sister, Luetta Spencer of Spokane and step-sister, Marie Holiday and husband, Uhel of Spokane; also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Feb 21, 2001, 11 a.m. at the Philadelphia Congregational Church, Ritzville, with Pastor Elizabeth Sendon, officiating. Vault interment will follow at the Ritzville Memorial Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Home, Ritzville, WA in charge of funeral arrangements."
