Description	:	Leander Brugh was born in Thompson township, Seneca county, Ohio, May 16, 1839, and died Jan. 28, 1887, at 7:10 o'clock A. M., aged 47 years, 8 months and 12 days. He was the eldest of twelve children of George and Catherine Brugh. He came to Steuben county with his parents in 1848, where he has since resided. April 30, 1862, he was married to Susan Smith, daughter of Daniel Smith. His occupation was farming, commencing in 1862 to work the farm known as the Daniel Smith farm, where he resided two years. He then bought a farm one mile... Read More	Leander Brugh was born in Thompson township, Seneca county, Ohio, May 16, 1839, and died Jan. 28, 1887, at 7:10 o'clock A. M., aged 47 years, 8 months and 12 days. He was the eldest of twelve children of George and Catherine Brugh. He came to Steuben county with his parents in 1848, where he has since resided. April 30, 1862, he was married to Susan Smith, daughter of Daniel Smith. His occupation was farming, commencing in 1862 to work the farm known as the Daniel Smith farm, where he resided two years. He then bought a farm one mile northwest of Hudson, and then purchased the farm on which a large part of Hudson is now situated, and where he died, leaving a wife, three daughters, a son, a mother, three brothers and four sisters to mourn his loss. He became a member of the United Brethren church, November the first and was baptized and received into the church Jan. 19, 1887, by Rev. J. W. Martin. He has been a great sufferer for a long time, but his faith in God made him patient to the end. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Hudson at 10 o'clock A. M., Rev. J. S. Tedrow officiating. He was buried in the Noll cemetery.
