Description	:	It is believed that Leander's true surname was SMITH. And that his parents were Hiram Jack and Miranda (Cassel) SMITH. Apparently, after he grew up, Leander SMITH was running from the law back in West Virginia(?), came west to Washington state between 1914 & 1923, changing his name to Hallie Lee ALLEN before he married Mrs. Lenore (Davis) Hanson in about 1923. Funerals ALLEN — Hallie Lee Allen, 48, died Friday night in St. Elizabeth's hospital. Born in Virginia, he had lived in the Cowiche district, where he was a rancher, 24 years. In the family are his wife, Lenore; two daughters, Virginia D. and Paullo Jo and two sons, Robert Lee of the army and David Rex of Cowiche. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in Shaw & Sons chapel. The Rev. Robert N. McLean will officiate and burial will be in Terrace Heights Memorial park.
