Description	:	Lee E. Hansen, 65, of Kearney died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Services were held Wednesday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney with the Rev. Rob Kuefner officiating. Burial with military rites by American Legion Post No. 52 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 759 was in Minden Cemetery. Mr. Hansen was born Dec. 20, 1937, to Wilmer and Christina (Schmidt) Hansen in Campbell. He grew up in Holstein and graduated from Holstein High School in 1956. He married Marilyn Schneider in 1957 in Minden. He served in the U.S. Navy and was attached to the U.S. Marines from 1956-66. He was stationed in Vietnam in 1965-66. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1973-83. He and his wife then moved to Kearney and he graduated from Kearney State College in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. He was a health inspector for the Nebraska Department of Agriculture for 15 years. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, American Legion Post No. 52, VFW Post No. 759 and Disabled American Veterans. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Brett E. of Kearney and Bradley A. of Fredericksburg, Va.; two brothers, Roger of Minden and Dean of Hickory, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and one foster grandchild.
