Description	:	Lee Krapfl, 92, of Oelwein passed away on Friday May 6, 2016. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 AM on Saturday May 14, 2016 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein with a memorial service at 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein. Read More	Lee Krapfl, 92, of Oelwein passed away on Friday May 6, 2016. Memorials may be made to the family in loving memory of Lee. Lee was born on November 23, 1923 in Colesburg, Iowa to parents Clem and Anna (Froning) Krapfl. Lee loved the game of baseball, was an avid player and scouted by the pros. In fact, it was at a baseball game where Lee met Mildred Willenborg, his wife of 53 years. Lee and Mildred were married September 4, 1947. They were blessed with an extra special Christmas present when their daughter, Becci, was born on December 25, 1951. Lee farmed in Petersburg, Iowa before moving to Oelwein where he farmed an additional eighteen years before retiring. Lee, not wanting to be idle, became the liquor department manager at Kennedy’s Super Valu in Oelwein. Lee loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He looked forward to his annual fishing trip and telling stories of the great times encountered. Lee’s other love was playing Blackjack. He enjoyed getting to know the dealers and bantering with them while playing cards. He would play so frequently that the entire staff knew Lee. Lee was so talented, that with his own two hands, he built his home. He proudly lived in that home for 42 years, until receiving his new address in Heaven. Lee is survived by his daughter Becci (Bob) McGowen, his sister-in-law Carol Willenborg, good friend Rosie Klingman along with many nieces, nephews and friends who supported and loved him over the years. Lee was preceded in death by his wife Mildred.
