Description	:	Lee Mabee died at the McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls May 22. A private commital service was held on Wednesday morning, May 24th at 9 a.m. and at 10 a.m. a Memorial Service was held at the First Presbyterian Church in Parker. Rev. Ronald Hawkins officiated. Marie Walker and Mrs. Raymond Ries were organists and John Walker, soloist, sang "How Great Thou Art." Honorary pallbearers were Robert Clikeman, Ronald Richadson, Melvin Michael, John Blogg, Fred Krull, Dale Jones and Ernest Witte. Burial was at Rosehill Cemetery. Following the Memorial Service a dinner was served by the Miriam Circle of the church at the Turner Village Community Room. Lee Mabee was born Dec. 19, 1906 at Parker where he lived all his life. He was with the Standard Oil Company for 25 years and with the Turner County Highway Department for five years. He served as a police officer for Parker for 15 years. He married Alma Witte and to this union three sons were born, William, Robert and Lee, Jr. Mr. Mabee was a modest and reserved person who had great compassion for his fellow man. He had a sincere love for his family and was an avid reader. He is survived by his wife, Alma; three sons and their families, William and Ishika and sons, Jason and Judson of Houghton, MI, Robert and Susan and daughter Laurie of Vermillion, SD, and Dr. Lee Mabee, Jr, and Linda and daughters Melissa and Susan of Honolulu; one brother, Ollie Mabee of Warner Robbins, GA; one sister, Beatrix Stanley of Coos Bay, OR; one step-sister, Jane Miller of Sioux Falls, SD.
