Dane.) Lee Roy's father passed away in 1927. Afterwards Lee moved with his mother and sisters to Washington State. Lee attended school in Winona and St. John, WA. Lee and June Woods were married October 11, 1947 in Coeur d'Alene, ID. They lived at St. John where Lee worked for Whitman County Road department until 1954 when he started farming in the St. John area. In 1985 Lee and June retired to their home in Kanab, Utah. Lee loved fishing and they both enjoyed traveling in their motorhome. Lee told the story that after breakfast June would say ''lets go left (or right)'' out of the motorhome park and then see where the road would take them. In March 1998 they moved back to the Waterford Retirement Community in Spokane, WA. June, his wife of 57 years, passed away in November of 2003. Lee's health was excellent and he spent many happy times with all of his many friends and relatives and especially Blanshe, John, Gloria and Kenny. He was a gentle giving man who will be remembered with lots of love by all who knew him. Lee is survived by his sister, Hazel M. Philpott Chestnut of Spokane, WA. His sister Ella Philpott Storment passed away in April 2004. Burial on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at the Pine City Cemetery, Pine City, Washington. Lee Roy was grandson of David E. & Viola Louella (Elliot) Philpott and of Orlo Jerome and Eva Ave (Preston) Dane.
