Lee Roy served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954, having served on the USS Catamount in the Korean War. Lee Roy enjoyed reading, music and dancing. Surviving is his longtime companion, Carol Bainbridge; daughters, Peggy (Patrick) Moriarity of Fayetteville, AR and Danette (Clark) Peterson of Johnston, IA; 6 grandchildren, Emily (Malachi) Wurpts, Christopher (Laura) Moriarity, Chantelle (Justin) Winter, Cameron Niner, Lynissa Baker and Alex Phillips; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmie Proctor of Ottumwa. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Proctor and his parents. Limited open visitation will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 3rd at Reece Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rfh-ia.com. Private funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 4th at Reece Funeral Home. For those not able to attend the service, you may watch the service live from the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery with military services conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion.
