Description	:	Lee Utterback was born in Indiana, August 24, 1866. He died at his home in Delta, Iowa, January 5, 1922, at the age of 55 years, 4 months and 12 days. At the age of three, he with his parents, moved to Iowa where he grew to manhood. Reaching the age of eighteen he became a member of the Christian church at Bethel Iowa, afterwards uniting with the Delta Church of Christ where he was a member until death. He died at his home in Delta, Iowa, January 5, 1922, at the age of 55 years, 4 months and 12 days. At the age of three, he with his parents, moved to Iowa where he grew to manhood. Reaching the age of eighteen he became a member of the Christian church at Bethel Iowa, afterwards uniting with the Delta Church of Christ where he was a member until death. In 1889 he was united in marriage to Ada Street. To this union were born five children, three dying in infancy and two living, Ernest and Walter, both at home. Two brothers and two sisters are left to mourn the loss; John Utterback of near Martinsburg; Tom Utterback of Hayesville, Mrs. Nettie Long of near Lancaster, and Mrs. Emma Jane Dawson of Delta Colorado. He lived a consistent Christian all of his life, radiating joy and happiness amidst all of his friends and neighbors. The joy of his life was to attend church and Sunday School. Taken away prematurely, his sun setting, while it was yet day, he leaves sorrowing relatives, wife and children and a host of friends to mourn the loss. “May his soul and all of the souls of the faithful departed, Thru the Mercy of God, rest in peace”. The funeral services were held at the Christian Church at Delta, conducted by Rev. A. O. Wright of What Cheer. Interment was made in Bethel Cemetery.
