Description	:	LITTLE ROCK, Iowa -- Leeroy E. Gross, 75, of Little Rock died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at his home in Little Rock. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, with the Rev. Scott Burdsall officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Little Rock. Leeroy Edward Gross was born Jan. 13, 1930, the son of Fred E. and Grace (Bergman) Gross in Little Rock. He attended country school south of Little Rock. On March 8, 1951, he was united in marriage to Delores F. Hayenga in Little Rock. The couple farmed in the Little Rock area, and Leeroy worked part-time at the Locker Plant in Rock Rapids, Iowa, and as a custodian at the First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, where he was baptized and a lifelong member. Farming was Leeroy's life and he enjoyed going to farm sales, fairs and looking at farm ground. A special joy in Leeroy's life was to celebrate 50 years with his wife, Delores on March 8, 2001. He always loved to talk to people and never met a "stranger." Survivors include four children, Merlin Gross of San Diego, Calif., Kathryn (Brian) Gross-Edelman of Sioux City, Mark (Jodi) Gross of Little Rock and Michael Gross of Sioux Falls, S.D.; five grandchildren, Barry, Jennifer (Brian) Gerdes, Andrew, William and Taylor; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
