Read More	MINOT DAILY NEWS Thursday, 01 Dec. 1938 Lehman Myers 5 Sep 1966 – 30 Nov 1938 Lehman Myers, five - year - old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Myers, who reside 16 miles south of Berthold died in a Minot hospital late Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 30, just after he had been brot to the hospital. The father was backing a truck-load of coal up to the basement win-dow. He cautioned the children to stay back, but childlike they clung to the back of the truck when his back was turned and little Lehman lost his hold and was run over by the rear wheel, breaking both legs and injuring him internally. Much blood was lost and he died about an hour later. A neighbor, Ole Ellingson, brot the child to the hospital hurriedly. The funeral was held from the Church of the Brethren at Berthold Saturday afternoon with Rev. Charles Zook of Minot officiating. Burial was in the Wildrose cemetery at Berthold. Harold, William and Walter Myers and Earl Benton, all of Minot, were pallbearers. The body of the boy was taken from Minot to the farm home Thursday where it remained until the funeral hour. The minister, Rev. C.A. Zook, is an uncle of Mrs. Myers, and the pall-bearers are uncles of the deceased. "Safe in the arms of Jesus" and "Sometime We'll Surely Know" were sung by the audience. The child's four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.V. Benton of Bismarck, and Mr. and Mrs. William E. Myers of Minot and about 35 other relatives from Minot attended the funeral. Surviving besides the parents are nine brothers and sisters, Roland, Ma-ble, Alvin, Benton, Billy, Ruth, Ray-mond, Harrison and Janet, all at home. The body was at the home of an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Frunz, who reside at 702 11th avenue northeast, in Minot. Dec. 3, -- Funeral services were held at the Church of the Brethren here today for Layman Myers, aged five, fatally injured when struck by a truck driven by his father, Ray Myers, Wednesday at the farm home 15 miles south of this commu-nity. The Rev. Charles Zook, elder of the Church of the Brethren in Minot, officiated at the services and burial was in Wildrose cemetery here. Lehman was born at Grandma Benton's house in Minot, when the family lived on what was then the Acy Llewellyn place, now Larry Simenson owns it.
