Description	:	Leila Marilyn Weyeneth died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook at the age of 83. She was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Lebanon, the daughter of Fred and Gladys (Zweigle) Jolly. She grew up on a farm south of Lebanon on the Nebraska, Kansas line. Read More	Leila Marilyn Weyeneth died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook at the age of 83. She was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Lebanon, the daughter of Fred and Gladys (Zweigle) Jolly. She grew up on a farm south of Lebanon on the Nebraska, Kansas line. She graduated from the Decatur County High School at Oberlin in 1940. She began teaching at the Spring Branch Rural School in Decatur County. On Dec. 23, 1942, Leila married Leonard "Scoop" Weyeneth at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook. They moved to Seattle, Wash., where her husband was deployed to the Philippines while serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. They returned to Marion, where they farmed until moving to McCook in 1952. For 30 years, she was the office manager for DeGroffs Department Store. She retired in 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Carl Jolly and infant Evald Jolly; and one sister, Irene Powell. Leila is survived by two sons, Ernest L. Weyeneth of Lincoln and Dennis Weyeneth and wife, Linda of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Marilyn Klem and husband, Ron of Eagle; six grandchildren, Leonard Weyeneth and wife, Sarah, Phillip Weyeneth, Dawn Kleinschmidt and husband, Curtis, Kelly Klem, Kristopher Klem and John Klem and wife, Lydia; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin Weyeneth, Samual Weyeneth, Kohlton Kleinschmidt, Josalyn Wilmot and Darianna Klem; one brother, Alfred Jolly and wife, Barbara of Wilsonville; one sister-in-law, June Jolly of Norcatur; and relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, 10:30 a.m., at the Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman officiating. Interment will be in the Danbury and Marion Cemetery in Danbury. Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Herrmann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
