Lela died Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at her residence in Norfolk. Born Oct. 16, 1942, in Lynch, she was the daughter of Edward and Victoria (Zepf) Braun. She attended grade school and high school in Creighton, later received her G.E.D., and then graduated from Norfolk Beauty School. She married Stanley L. Kiepke on Aug. 30, 1960, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster. Lela and Stanley lived in Plainview, Norfolk and Battle Creek. Lela owned and operated the Battle Creek Beauty Shop for 20 years. She worked at Norfolk Dodge for 15 years and was known as “the Dodge girl.” During that time, they moved to Norfolk in 1992. Lela then worked at Sherwood Medical for 13 years, and she retired on Jan. 2, 2009. Lela enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, quilting, sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, spending time with her family and making her banana bread for family and friends. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Survivors include three children, Korenia Eckstrom (dear friend Loren Janssen) of Norfolk, Terrie and spouse William Reisdorff Jr. of Omaha and Stan A. Kiepke and spouse Deonne Naticchioni of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her siblings, Sharon Carlow of Norfolk, Elaine (William) Wellner of Spencer, Collette Braun of Creighton, Susie Huttmann of Lincoln, Rich (Sheila) Braun of Norfolk, Verlin Braun of Creighton, Loretta Lush of Neligh, Edwin Braun of Coolidge, Ariz., and Everett Braun. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Stanley L. Kiepke in July 11, 2012; her parents; a grandson, Joseph Lee Reisdorff; and siblings Irene Johnson and Vilas Braun. Music will be provided by organist and soloist Greg Johnson.
