Description	:	Obituary: Rites Today For Mrs. Glenn Lacher Death came Monday night to call home, Mrs. Lelia Esther (Rathjen) Lacher, 41, wife of Glenn Lacher of Sumner Township. Mrs. Lacher had been a sufferer from tuberculosis for the past 16 months. Friday she had submitted to an operation at an Iowa City hospital for the removal of an infected lung in an effort to save her life. Pneumonia following the operation resulted in her demise. Mrs. Lacher had been a sufferer from tuberculosis for the past 16 months. Friday she had submitted to an operation at an Iowa City hospital for the removal of an infected lung in an effort to save her life. Pneumonia following the operation resulted in her demise. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Reformed church at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. John Schlamp officiating. Burial will be in the Genoa Bluff cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be six cousins, Frank, Jake, Harry, Lester, Carl and Kenneth Rathjen. Mrs. Lacher was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rathjen and was born in Sumner township Oct. 29, 1899. On Nov. 26, 1925, she was married to Glenn Lacher. They have made their home on a Sumner Township farm. Among those who survive are her parents, her husband and one Daughter, Joyce, eight years of age. One sister, Mrs. Everett Lillie, and one brother, Melvin Rathjen, also survive. Mrs. Lacher was a member of the Congregational Church in Williamsburg.
