Description	:	Lelia Maxine Norton, age 85, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the daughter of Rueben and Elsie (Corderman) Lore on April 1, 1931, rural Butler County, Packard, Iowa. She received her education from a rural country school near her home and also the Clarksville Community High School. On February 14, 1949, Lelia Lore was united in marriage with James Norton in Des Moines, Iowa. The couple made their home in Plainfield and also had lived in Waverly, Shell Rock and in 1962 they moved to their present farm northeast of Clarksville. Read More	Lelia Maxine Norton, age 85, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born the daughter of Rueben and Elsie (Corderman) Lore on April 1, 1931, rural Butler County, Packard, Iowa. She received her education from a rural country school near her home and also the Clarksville Community High School. On February 14, 1949, Lelia Lore was united in marriage with James Norton in Des Moines, Iowa. The couple made their home in Plainfield and also had lived in Waverly, Shell Rock and in 1962 they moved to their present farm northeast of Clarksville. Lelia was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Through the years she had worked in Waverly at Carnation Co., Shield-Bantam and was a bus driver for Regional Transit. Also during this time, she did the record keeping for Norton Tree Service. Lelia was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Clarksville. Some of her favorite pastimes were playing bingo, listening to Jim play his accordion, going for walks, spending time outdoors in nature and playing with her cats. She especially loved her family and all of their time spent together. Lelia passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016, at the Clarksville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one great-grandson, two brothers, Floyd and Evan Lore, and three sisters, Irene Fisher, Betty Irish, and Pearl Fisher. Lelia is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Jim Norton of Clarksville; three sons, Jim (Ruth) Norton of Altoona, Terry (Marilyn) Norton of Clarksville, and Rocky (Lynn) Norton of Clarksville, 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, plus one on the way, one great great-grandchild; one sister, Viola Kearby of Ankeny, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the Community United Methodist Church, with burial in the Lynwood Cemetery, both in Clarksville. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville, (319)278-4245, and one hour before services at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family of Lelia Norton. Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.redman-schwartz.com
