She was born at St. George, New Brunsick on May 19, 1896, and attended school there. She graduated as a school teacher and taught for three years in St. John, B.C. and came west to Alberta teaching at Burdett also in the Scandia district in 1924. She married Carl Anderson at Winnipeg, Manitoba in January 1928. She returned to Scandia teaching one more year and farmed in the district until 1947 when she moved to Brooks where she has resided since. She was a member of Brooks United Church and serviced as a Sunday school teacher, served on the Brooks School Board for several years and was an ardent curler. She was predeceased by her parents, five brothers, and four sisters. Surviving are her husband Carl Anderson of Brooks, one sister, Mrs. Blanch Anderson of Lethbridge and unmerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held a the Brooks United Church on July 21, 1984. Obituary states Interment in Brooks Cemetery. Gravesite/headstone is in Scandia Cemetery, next to husband Carl.
