Description	:	Lena Payne, age 92, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday evening, May 2, 2013 at the home of her granddaughter in Walker, Louisiana. Mrs. Payne was the daughter of the late Minnie Mayfield Carver and Allen Thomas Carver. Her husband, Edward Payne, her son, Michael Lynn Payne and her 13 brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. She enjoyed going to yard sales and garage sales and she loved to dance. Her husband, Edward Payne, her son, Michael Lynn Payne and her 13 brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. She enjoyed going to yard sales and garage sales and she loved to dance. Mrs. Payne was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Byers of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, her sons, Brent Payne and his wife Charlotte, Larry Payne and his wife Wanda and Rick Payne and his wife Kathy all of Cleveland, numerous beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Cy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Hays Shed Cemetery in the Michigan Ave community with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
