Born in Buffalo April 16, 1934, a daughter of the late Henry T. and Irene Nance Sprouse. Mrs. Sprouse was employed with Inman Mills and was of the Methodist Faith. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Brown and her husband Wayne of Gaffney; two sons, Francis C. Born in Buffalo April 16, 1934, a daughter of the late Henry T. and Irene Nance Sprouse. Mrs. Sprouse was employed with Inman Mills and was of the Methodist Faith. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Brown and her husband Wayne of Gaffney; two sons, Francis C. Sprouse, Jr. and Phillip Henry Sprouse and his wife Beth, all of Union; three sisters, Frances Tucker and Mable Tucker, both of Union, and JoAnn Lawson and her husband Kenneth of Pauline; six grandchildren, Wayne Brown, Jr. of Gaffney, Kacie Brown of Spartanburg, Elton Sprouse of Augusta, GA, Mia Sprouse of Laurens, Eric Sprouse and Justin Sprouse, both of Union; three great-grandchildren, Jace Brown, Zoi Brown and Natalie Sprouse; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Henry Earl Sprouse, Harold Dean Sprouse; and one sister, Betty J. Ponder. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at The Lewis Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jerry D. Lawson and Rev. Robert Branch. Interment will be at Union Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 6, 2008 from 6-8:00 p.m. at The Lewis Funeral Home. Pallbearers include the grandsons, Wayne, Elton, Eric, Justin and Tommy Lawson, and Darrell Lawson. Honorary escort include Michael Putnam, David Lawson and the nurses and staff of Hospice Care of S.C. Union.
