Description	:	Lena Lee Warford Hankins, 74, was born to Lona Belle Long and Byron Warford on May 9, 1934, in Crosses Creek, AR. She was the second of ten children. Lena learned to cook, sew and work, from a very early age and what a cook she was!! She loved the times spent with her grandmas and her extended family. Read More	Lena Lee Warford Hankins, 74, was born to Lona Belle Long and Byron Warford on May 9, 1934, in Crosses Creek, AR. She was the second of ten children. Lena learned to cook, sew and work, from a very early age and what a cook she was!! She loved the times spent with her grandmas and her extended family. At the ripe old age of 18, she married the man of her dreams, Delbert W. Hankins, on May 10, 1952. Eleven months later, her first child, Delbert "Wesley" Hankins Jr., was born in Fayetteville, AR and soon became the new love of her life. That summer, the family traveled to Washington State to the Pateros/Bridgeport/Brewster areas. Her second child, David Leon, was born on September 25, 1954. The family then moved to the Wenatchee area, finally settling in their home in East Wenatchee in July of 1957. On January 19, 1958, she welcomed her first daughter, Yvonne Lee, who was closely followed by the birth of Charles Wayne on August 26, 1969, and Thelma Rose on March 1, 1961. Last, but never least, was her baby girl, Sue Ellen, on March 17, 1962, which completed and made her life full. She cherished her family and also her extended family, along with friends and neighbors, who all decorated her life. She decided early on and made a commitment to help with the family finances working as a laborer in packing sheds, the Dolman's Motel in East Wenatchee, Crystal Linen, and retiring from Glico Apple Corporation in 1998, due to her health conditions. Along the way, she made many wonderful friends. Lena is survived by her children, Delbert "Wes" (Shelley) Hankins, Yvonne (Chris) Hankins-Holt, Charles (Annette) Hankins and Sue Ellen Hankins, all of East Wenatchee; foster son, Vernon "Fritz" (Gale) Stull and Mark Little; grandchildren, Scott, Nicole, Ross, Heidi and Colton Hankins, Danny and Adam Fogelstrom, Nicholas Taskey-Holt, Connor Holt-Burril and Nathon Stull; special "grandkids", Tondy Adkins and Summer Little; her brothers, Raymond Dewey (Virginia), Johnny (Lexie), Willis (Ola) and Garrett (Marilyn) Warford; her sisters, Geraldine Coleman, Wilda Jean (Oniel) Keller, Dollie (Jim) Black and Mildred (Leon) Roach, all of Arkansas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Delbert; her son, David; daughter, Thelma; her parents; and her brother, Norman Warford. Visitation will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley on Friday, September 5, 2008, between 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008.
