She loved to read 'The Little Colonel' books by Annie Fellows Johnston. I must have a dozen of those books. Also 'Little Women' books. My mom was always up for anything it seems. She rode on my brother-in-law's motorcycle, went sledding with my boys, always insisted we visited family on Sunday afternoon. But it wasn't the Underhill side. They didn't seem too interested in doing this. She was the boss of her brothers..." OBITUARY: "Hagerstown - Lena Lee Lindley, 73, R.R. 2, died 21 Sep 1980 at Reid Menorial Hosptal in Richmond. A Greens Fork native, she had resided in this area 42 yrs and was a menber of the Jacksonburg Christian Church, the Hagerstown-Jefferson Twp. Home Extension Club, the Wayne Co. Farm Bureau, the Hagerstown Brotherhood and Sisterhood and the Gideons Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence; three daughters, Harriet Burroughs of R.R. 2, Betty Lou Riggs of Cambridge City and Leann Kemelgor of Louisville, Ky; one son, Charles Lindley of R.R. 2; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arnold Underhill of Greens Fork and Delbert Underhill of Hagerstown. Funeral was at the Jacksonburg Christian Church, with burial in Brick Cemetery."
