She died on September 11, 1967 in Grand Island, reaching the age of 67 years. Lena moved with her parents while a small girl to a farm in Greeley County, and received her education in the Greeley County rural schools. Read More	From The Wolbach Messenger, September 21, 1967, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Lena Marie Osterloh was born October 5, 1899, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Osterloh, in York. She died on September 11, 1967 in Grand Island, reaching the age of 67 years. Lena moved with her parents while a small girl to a farm in Greeley County, and received her education in the Greeley County rural schools. She was married to Carl Switzer on the 28th of February, 1923 in Greeley County. The couple farmed in Greeley County until 1946 when they moved to a farm in Howard County. Three years ago the couple retired from the farm by moving to St. Paul, where she resided until her passing. To this union were added eight children; two sons and one daughter passing in infancy. Left to mourn her death are her husband Carl; two sons, Billy and Carl Wayne, both of Cushing; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson of Grand Island, Mrs. Francis Stanley of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mrs. Donna Jensen of Cushing; one sister, Mrs. Pete Jensen of Wolbach; nine grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her three infant children, her parents, and two brothers. She was a baptized and confirmed member of the Lutheran Church, presently having membership in St. Mark’s Lutheran of St. Paul.
