Description	:	At 2:30 Friday morning, January 19th, at the home of her parents, ten miles east of Creighton, Lena Quimby passed away after an illness of only five days, while assisting at the bedside of a brother, who was sick with the measles. She contracted that disease, which proved so fatal in her case. Though far from being well herself, she did not cease in her efforts to assist with the household cares until Sunday morning. There was a decided change for the worse the following evening and all that medical skill and loving hands could do were of no avail The deceased was born in Webster county, Iowa, December 31, 1876. She came with her parents to Knox county, where she has since resided. She united with the M.E. church in early girlhood and has ever since been true to her faith and religion. She was a dutiful daughter, a loving sister and true friend. She leaves her parents, three brothers and one sister and a host of friends to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held at Eden Valley schoolhouse on Sunday morning at ten o'clock. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Plainview cemetery.
