Pallbearers are Patrick McEvoy, Russell Anderegg, Raymond Donnelly, Don Hogan, Vincent O'Donnell and Edward Murphy. Mr. McEvoy was born Nov. 30, 1880, at Dubuque, the son of Edward and Julia (White) McEvoy. He attended schools at Dubuque. He then farmed with his father in the Dubuque area until moving to the Dougherty area in 1911. He farmed there until moving to Mason City in 1936. He was employed at Mason City Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Jacob E. Decker & Sons and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City. He was married to Nellie Hogan May 20, 1913, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dougherty. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the men's club of the church and the Mason City Senior Citizens. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Melvin of Chicago and Leonard of Cicero, Ill.; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Edward, and a grandson, Gary.
