Read More	Laurens Sun - January 21, 1960 Funeral Services Are Held Monday for Leo F. Naber Leo F. Naber, 74, of Laurens, died at the University Hospital in Iowa City about 8 p.m., January 14. Mr. Naber had been in ill health for a year and a half and had been hospitalized at various times during that period. He was taken to Iowa City in December. Mr. Naber was well known as "Butch Naber" having worked for many years in the Mather's Meat Market and in later years at Hinn's Super Valu. Services were held at the Sacred Heart Church in Laurens Monday at 10 a.m. with burial in the Laurens Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. John G. Eagan was in charge. Pallbearers were R. Morris Hinn, George Korrect, George Pauk, Gus Hoerchler, Earl Amsden and Charles Linnan, all of Laurens. Arrangements were made by Hitchcock Funeral Home. Leo Naber was born in New Vienna, Iowa, on April 19, 1886. He attended school at Arcadia. On November 4, 1919 he was married to Ida Schemmel at Milford where they made their home. They also resided for a time at Emmetsburg, coming to Laurens in 1935 where they have continued to make their home. Two children were born to the Nabers. They were Betty Naber of Kansas City, Mo., and Donald Naber of Mason City. Bothe the children and Mrs. Naber survive. Other relative surviving are four grandchildren, two brothers, William Naber of Ayrshire and Richard Naber of Montgomery; two sisters, Mrs. William Ike of Templeton and Susie Naber of Hospers.
