Leo was born on March 21, 1934 to Herman and Rose Ostwald. He grew up as a child in Laurel and returning upon retirement from the Burlington Northern Railroad. Leo had many adventures through out his lifetime. He owned Bridger Gardens in Bridger and Yellowstone Antiques in Havre. Leo always had to be on the go. Leo was born on March 21, 1934 to Herman and Rose Ostwald. He grew up as a child in Laurel and returning upon retirement from the Burlington Northern Railroad. Leo had many adventures through out his lifetime. He owned Bridger Gardens in Bridger and Yellowstone Antiques in Havre. Leo always had to be on the go. He was never the type to sit around and do nothing. Leo's greatest interest of all was spending quality time with his many grandchildren. Papa was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. They taught each other valuable lessons. He is survived by Marny; his wife and his children, Karlette (Jerry Brian) Philhower, Melissa Fossen, Shawn (Bobbie) Ostwald, Pamela Ostwald, Jennifer Ostwald, Leo Ostwald Jr., Vicky (Albert) Metzger, Cynthia Hagel; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel. A reception will follow at the Grace Bible Church, 20 Second Ave. in Laurel.
