Pallbearers were Leo's grandsons: Jacob, Jon and James Forster, Tony and Danny Rezac and Jamie Wiechmann Honorary pallbearers were: Joe Bren, John Cimpl, Steve Soukup, Don Fredrich, John Fredrich and Ed Kokesh. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Dante. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements. Leo Rezac was born May 15, 1924, at the farm in rural Dante, the son of Anton and Ludmilla (Novotny) Rezac. He died at his farm, surrounded by the love of his family, on Saturday, September 9, 2006, from complications following a stroke. Leo spent his entire life on the Rezac family farm which he actively farmed for fifty years and spent the last years in semi-retirement raising cattle. He married Ruth "Mickey" Mikolash on September 21, 1948, and together they raised four children. He was always happiest with Ruth by his side, surrounded by family and friends. Leo was an active member of the Assumption Catholic Church and served on various boards. He served as sexton of St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Dante for many years. Leo served on the Rouse Township Election Board for many years, was a former board member of the Cenex Station in Dante, served on the the Bohemian Mutual Insurance Company board of directors, and was an honorary member of the Dante Lake Club. Leo was an avid Twins and Vikings fan. He enjoyed Czech music and spending time with his poker buddies. Leo will especially be remembered for his love of his family. He would always "perk up" when his grandchildren came around. He is survived by his wife Ruth, of Dante; his children: Kathy (Reed) Forster of Sioux Falls and their children, Jacob Jon and James; Richard (Reva) Rezac of Sioux Falls and their children, Jamie, Danielle, Kelly and Kari and stepdaughters, Ashley and Rosa (Travis); Randy (Jackie) Rezac, of Mitchell, and their children, Tony, Danny and Jessica; and Lori (Dennis) Blaha of Rapid City and their children, Andrea (Jared), Abby and Alicia; two brothers: Art (Mary) Rezac of Pierre and Ray (Theresa) Rezac of Scotts Bluff, NE; a sister, Marcella La Barge of Rapid City; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Leo was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Lillian, who died in infancy; Agnes Swatek; Violet Masur; Rosie Koupal; Edwin; Robert; Don and Joe Rezac. Wagner Post September 13, 2006
