Description	:	CASHMERE _ Leo S. Anderson, 88, of Cashmere, died Monday, March 1, 1993, in the Cashmere Convalescent Center, following an extended illness. He was born Oct. 1, 1904, to Alfred Z. and Addie C. (Hulquist) Anderson at Phoenix, B.C., Canada. He was raised at Curlew and graduated from Republic High School. He received his bachelor's degrees in arts and education from Eastern Washington University. He was born Oct. 1, 1904, to Alfred Z. and Addie C. (Hulquist) Anderson at Phoenix, B.C., Canada. He was raised at Curlew and graduated from Republic High School. He received his bachelor's degrees in arts and education from Eastern Washington University. He then attended the University of Washington where he received a bachelor's degree in science and education. He taught school in Ferry and Stevens counties from 1923 to 1942. He joined the U.S. Army in 1942 and served in Alaska until 1944, when he received his honorable discharge. He taught at Curlew high school from 1945 to 1949. He was Ferry County school superintendent from 1950 to 1956, when he retired from the school district. Mr. Anderson then farmed until moving to Wenatchee in 1978. He moved in 1981 to Cashmere where he has lived since. Mr. Anderson was a lifetime member of Malo Grange. He is survived by a nephew, Glenn Anderson of Frankfurt, Germany; a niece, Kaye Berschauer of East Wenatchee; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Thor (Helen) Anderson of East Wenatchee. He was preceded in death by three brothers. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley of East Wenatchee.
