Description	:	Leoda Katherine "Kay" Sevey began her life's journey on September 29, 1925 in Sheridan Montana. She was the younger of two daughters born to Hazel and Alfred Sill. Her parents were some of the earliest settlers to this small growing community. Most of her younger years were spent growing up on their ranch. She was the younger of two daughters born to Hazel and Alfred Sill. Her parents were some of the earliest settlers to this small growing community. Most of her younger years were spent growing up on their ranch. She developed a tremendous love for all animals and flowers. She attended the Sheridan school system through the 9th grade. In the fall of 1942 she married her childhood sweetheart Harry Bert Bagley, who had just returned from completing his tour of duty with the United States Army during WWII. On November 29, 1944 they welcomed their first child Harry A. Bagley and shortly after pulled up stakes and moved to Alaska. This was not a rewarding move and they decided to relocate to California. Her husband was a Heavy Equipment Operator in the service and work for that type of occupation was plentiful in the San Francisco area, as well as, surrounding areas. Kay worked in the canneries processing fresh fruit and produce. Because of the amounts of time they were apart, due to work schedules, their marriage did not work out and they decided to divorce and go their separate ways. During the early 1950's, she met a man that swept her off her feet. His name was James L. Sevey who served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. They soon married and relocated to Deer Park, WA. Not long after their move they welcomed a baby boy into their lives, Timothy James Sevey on September 1, 1956. Kay and family then relocated to the Colville Valley and this became her permanent home. Kay developed a tremendous love for crocheting and created doilies that were masterpieces. She was a master with the thread and crochet hook. This was her favorite hobby but cake decorating was a close second. She was a member of the Arden Home Ec. Club and enjoyed the friendship of all members and their activities. On March 9, 2016, Kay's journey through life was completed and she moved on to her next adventure. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Sevey and her sister, Ollie Jerome. She leaves behind to carry on their journey through life, two sons, two grandsons, Seven great-grandchildren, and last but not least one great great grandson. It was Kay's wishes to have a private family celebration of life at the gravesite to officially send her off on her next journey. If one wishes, memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society. The Statesman Examiner March 16, 2016
