Description	:	Leola A. Osterman, 78, of Brady, died April 27, 2005, at her home. She was born Aug. 7, 1926, in Sparks to Joseph F. and Elizabeth Mae Simons. She was united in marriage to Wesley "Hans" Osterman Nov. 14, 1946, in Nenzel. They resided in Kilgore where they owned and operated a hotel. She was born Aug. 7, 1926, in Sparks to Joseph F. and Elizabeth Mae Simons. She was united in marriage to Wesley "Hans" Osterman Nov. 14, 1946, in Nenzel. They resided in Kilgore where they owned and operated a hotel. Later they moved to Hastings, then on to Colorado Springs, Colo., in 1956. Leola worked as a head administrator for Peterson Air Force Base as a civil service GS 13 until she retired in 1981. She moved to Brady in 2002 to live with her daughter and family. She loved to garden, play cards, crochet, fish, and was a Denver Nuggets Basketball fan. In the summertime, they would travel to visit family and friends in their fifth wheel and played cards 'til dawn. Survivors include three daughters, Andrea (Peter) Baca of Colorado Springs, Colo., Karen (Scot) Gutherless of Brady, and Suzzette Story of Morristown, Tenn.; a son, Donald (Margarita) Osterman of Florissant, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a great-grandson; three sisters, Elma Gordon of Bassett, Catherine (Jack) Weber of Arnold, and Stella (Jack) Nash of Cassville, Mo.; a brother, Andrew (Doris) Simons of Omaha; and a brother-in-law, Stanley "Fritz" Osterman of Kilgore. She was preceded in death by her parents in 1969; her husband Aug. 15, 1995; a son, Carrol; two brothers, Edward and Bernard Simons; and two sisters, Gladys Jones, and Mary Ann Kehr.
