Leona was born March 12, 1921 in Alma, Nebraska, the second of seven children raised by Edward E. and Helen Leona (Moyer) Musil. Read More	Leona Beth Falk, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Christian Homes Care Community, Holdrege, Nebraska. Leona was born March 12, 1921 in Alma, Nebraska, the second of seven children raised by Edward E. and Helen Leona (Moyer) Musil. Leona attended country schools at Alma, Nebraska and Hays Center, Nebraska. Leona later attended and graduated from Holdrege (NE.) High School with the class of 1938. On September 29, 1940, she was united in marriage to Carroll LeRoi Falk and to this union two sons were born: Ronald LeRoi and Melvin Edward. In 1945, Leona and the boys moved to Baltimore, Maryland where Carroll was stationed in the service. Following his return, they resided in Wilcox, where Carroll and Leona operated Falk's Produce and later Falk's Texaco Service Station. In 1962, Leona started working for the Hested's Department Stores' in Holdrege and Minden until her retirement in 1975. On September 29, 2012, the couple celebrated their 72nd Anniversary just before Carroll preceded her in death on September 30, 2012. Leona was a devoted member of the Wilcox Community Church, the Gideon's International Auxiliary - Holdrege Camp, the Wilcox Women's Chamber of Commerce, the Wilcox Lioness Club, and a past Secretary and past President of the National Postmasters Auxiliary. In her free time, Leona enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, including making garments for her family and traveling in the United States and abroad to Venezuela. She enjoyed hosting many family and friends at the family home, the "Falk Hilton". Besides her parents, step-father, George Lyons and husband, Carroll, she was preceded in death by her: sister, Iris Parks and her husbands, Henry Broman and Sid Parks; six brothers: Roy Wehland and his wife, Arlene, Kenneth Musil and his wives, Doris, Ermil and Lorrine, John Musil and his wife, Lillian, Andrew Musil in infancy and David Musil; sister-in-law, Beulah Falk and brothers-in-law, Rev. Orville Falk and Rev. Dale Falk. Funeral Services for Leona B. Falk were held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Wilcox Community Church, Wilcox, Nebraska with Pastor Craig Cedar as officiator. Interment was in the Salem Cemetery, Axtell, Nebraska.
