Obituary for Leona C Eveleigh HOISINGTON - Leona C Eveleigh, 83 died August 27, 1990 at her home at Hoisington. She was born July 18, 1907, at Beattie, the daughter of Jacob and Botilda Benson Muench. A longtime resident of Hoisington, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church PEO Order of the Eastern Star and Heritage Club, all at Hoisington. On August 12, 1929, she married George Eveleigh at St John. He died June 21, 1988. Survivors include a daughter Celia Nicholson, Hays, A sister Glenda Owen of Great Bend and 2 grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10:30 Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, with the Rev. Thomas Sims presiding. Friends may call from 9am to 9pm Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hoisington Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Shrine Crippled Childrens Fund or the Shrine Burn Center, both in care of the funeral home.
