Leona, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kaltenborn) Dolnicek was born November 24, 1907 near Lawrence, Nebr. She attended Victor Elementary School and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1926. She taught rural school for a few years and on May 26, 1930 she was united in marriage to Frank A. Faimon. To this union two children, LaVera and James were born. Frank passed away in 1967. Leona was employed as an office manager for the Blue Hill veterinary and retired in 1975. She was a devoted wife and mother and a kind and friendly neighbor. She loved her card parties and get-togethers. Preceding her in death was her husband Frank A., her parents, one brother Joseph, sisters Vivian and Angela, Helen, Margaret, Marie, Clara and Ella. Survivors are daughter LaVera Barnard of Kearney and son James of Lincoln; one sister Loretta Gilsdorf of Omaha and brother Thomas of Lawrence.
