Leona (Jane) Faust was born on July, 8, 1920, in Randall, Iowa, to Richard and Betsy Ann (Hendrickson) Anderson. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at the same Norwegian ELC church. She married Irving John Faust from Hubbard on August 31, 1939. They lived on a family farm just north of Hubbard. They were married until he died in November of 2003. Jane loved school, learning, and music. She enjoyed all musicals and sports activities while in school. Jane and Irv attended church in Hubbard - the Evangelical United Brethren church, later Salem United Methodist Church, for all of their married lives. She was active in their church music and choir programs, playing both the organ and piano for many services and functions. She accompanied Irv whenever he sang solos. Jane made her clothes and many outfits for her daughters. She was an avid reader and was involved with the Hubbard Library. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and golfing at the Hubbard Golf course. Jane managed the Hardin County Homemaker Health Aid program for several years. Many winters she and Irv went to Mesa, Arizona, where they enjoyed friends and the warm winter weather. In 2004 Jane moved to Indianola, Iowa at Wesley The Village, where lived until her death. Jane and Irv were parents to three daughters; Judy Faust Meier Gregory, Ruth Faust Jacobs, husband Carl Jacobs, from Keene, New Hampshire, and Lois Jane Linn, husband Roger Linn, from Fort Worth, Texas. When Lois was in high school, Jane and Irv hosted a foreign exchange student, Ursula Lembeck, from Germany for her senior year. Jane and Lois still enjoyed yearly communication with Ursula. Judy passed away in 1985. Jane loved being with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her brothers, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends met through her life long journey.
