Description	:	Note:At the time of her death Leona was the widow of Russell Hickey. Leona J. (Clay) Hickey, 96, of Thorp died Sunday, May 30, 1993 at Goldleaf Care Center in Ellensburg. She was born on August 26, 1894 in Roslyn, one of eight children born to John and Felecia (Pays) McDonald. Mrs. Hickey and John Clay were married in 1911. John preceded her in death in 1965. She was born on August 26, 1894 in Roslyn, one of eight children born to John and Felecia (Pays) McDonald. Mrs. Hickey and John Clay were married in 1911. John preceded her in death in 1965. In 1968, she was married to Russell Hickey and he preceded her in death in 1981. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Hickey was a member of Thorp Community Church and a member of the Eastern Star. Her interest included crocheting, knitting, church activities and traveling. Survivors include her two daughters and their husbands, Beulah and Kester Morrison of Thorp and Lula and James Deccio of Yakima; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; brother, Dave McDonald of Lake Stevens; stepdaughter and her husband, Vera and Douglas Anduku of Hawaii; five step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren, all of Hawaii; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, infant son, Harry; two sisters, Mea Burnham and Mabel McDonald; and four brothers, Will, Tom, Alfred and Ben. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, 1993 at Steward & Williams Chapel in Ellensburg. Rev. Roger McCune and Rev. Fred Andrews will officiate. Concluding service and burial will follow at Thorp Cemetery in Thorp. Viewing will be Tuesday, June 1, 1993 from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and again Wednesday, June 2, 1993 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Steward & Williams Chapel.
