Page 1 Mrs. Orie Galbreath Laid To Rest Saturday Mrs. Orie Galbreath, who had been ill for several years and who passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen on September 24, was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery at Turton, Saturday morning. Funeral services were held in St. Joseph's Church with Father McManus officiating. Funeral service were conducted by Spencer-Nash of Clark and the following were the pallbearers: Lawrence Labrie, Harold Woodring, Virgil Herker, Willard Johnson, Leon Klapperich and Floyd Gereaux. Obituary Leona Marguerite Labrie was born in Sumner township on August 10, 1899, and passed away on September 24, 1941, at the age of 42 years, 1 month, and 14 days. During her childhood, she attended grade school in and around Doland and later attended St. Catherine's College in St. Paul, Minnesota. On December 3, 1920, she was married to Orie Galbreath of Neillsville, Wisconsin, at the Cathedral of St. Paul, Minnesota, by Rev. Father W.J. Gibbs. To this union seven children were born. Four boys: Lelan, Merle, Gaylen, and Cecil; three girls; Leila, Marguerite, and Cleo. Mrs. Galbreath lived in South Dakota all her life, with the exception of a few months spent in Wisconsin. Leona was a kind and loving mother who will be greatly missed by her family, mother and Father, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Labrie, Sr., her brother, Oliver Labrie, Jr., and family and a host of other relatives and friends. Those coming from a distance to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Opelt and son, Floyd; Howard Bowen, Edward Hobman of Neillsville, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ebert, Mr. and Mrs. Millburn Galbreath and Earl Galbreath of Granton, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs Vernon Galbreath of Vesper, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Clark, E. J. Blain and A. F. Senechal of Redfield, S. Dak., and Mrs. Steve Ratliff of Clark, S. D., and also relatives and friends from Conde.
