Born, the eldest of three siblings in Stanford, Montana on October 24, 1917 to George and Anna Giese, her family later settled in Rauville, South Dakota and moved to Watertown where she lived until three years ago. Leona married Robert R. Kluck on June 5, 1941 and they raised four children in Watertown. Leona loved the beauty in nature, especially flowers and was well known for her baking, which she shared with family, friends and neighbors over the years. As a wife and mother, she enjoyed homemaking, and farming. Her family was everything to her and she will forever be remembered as a loving caregiver, and woman of great faith and strength. She is survived by three of her children: Roger Kluck (Jacquie), Sioux Falls, SD; Beverly Kreatz, Minneapolis, MN; Marlys East, Columbia, Maryland; five grandchildren: Rob Kreatz (Jackie); Stacy Best (David); Ashley Rogers (Aaron); Jeff Kluck (Helen); Lindsay Kirby (Paul); six great grandchildren; her sister, Elaine Simon of Watertown; and eleven nieces and nephews. Her husband, Robert, son, Kenneth and sister Marjory, preceded Leona in death. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Watertown. A private family celebration of life will be held in Sioux Falls--her final resting place, Mount Hope Cemetery, Watertown.
