She was born in Payne Junction, Iowa, in 1913 and married James W. Shewey at Rock Port, Mo. He survives of the home. Mrs. Shewey was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Ben and Floyd Hatcher.
