Description	:	UHER, Leonard "Buffalo", 69 of rural Dodge, died Saturday, March 18, 1995 at his home. Uher was born March 9, 1926 to James and Mary (Havrda) Uher. He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and Dodge High School. He served with the Transportation Corps for the U. S. Army from July 1945 to January 1947 and served part of his time in Germany. He married Mildred Ortmeier, Sept 16, 1947 in Dodge. They farmed south of Dodge. He also was an independent long-haul trucker for more than 35 years. Uher was born March 9, 1926 to James and Mary (Havrda) Uher. He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and Dodge High School. He served with the Transportation Corps for the U. S. Army from July 1945 to January 1947 and served part of his time in Germany. He married Mildred Ortmeier, Sept 16, 1947 in Dodge. They farmed south of Dodge. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, its' Catholic Workman Lodge and Holy Name Society, American Legion Post 122 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 8597, both of Dodge. Survivors include his wife, three sons; Duane of Clarkson, , Tony of Forest Lake, MN, and Gary of Dodge; six daughters Elaine (John) Ryan of Omaha, Jolene (Doug)Paasch of Scribner, Louanne (Dale) Kampschneider of Dodge, Doris (Rockwell) Pearson of Denver, Mary Ann (Rodney) Svehla, and Janet Uher of Fremont; his mother, Mary Uher of Dodge; three brothers, Robert of Omaha, and Ernest and Richard of Dodge, and 17 grandchildren. The funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge. The Rev. Mel Weise officiating. Visitation will be 3- 8:30 tonight at the church. A prayer service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Humlicek Funeral Home Dodge. Rosaries will be said 3 pm this afternoon at the church by Catholic Workman Lodge and 7:30 tonight at the church.Burial St Wenceslaus Cemetery, Fremont Tirbune- Mar. 20, 1995
