Description	:	LEONARD C. ROUSH Leonard C. Roush, son of Samuel and Jane Schafer Roush, was born on a farm near Douds, July 1, 1882, and passed away at the Van Buren Memorial hospital Jan. 26, at the age of 80 years, six months and 25 days. With the exception of seven years in business in Douds, his entire life was spent farming in the same neighborhood where he was born. On June 1, 1911, he was united in marriage to Hazel C. Roush, son of Samuel and Jane Schafer Roush, was born on a farm near Douds, July 1, 1882, and passed away at the Van Buren Memorial hospital Jan. 26, at the age of 80 years, six months and 25 days. With the exception of seven years in business in Douds, his entire life was spent farming in the same neighborhood where he was born. On June 1, 1911, he was united in marriage to Hazel C. Barker who survives. To this union six children were born. Two sons, Lester Joseph, age 2, and Roscoe Wayne, age 16, and a granddaughter Joy Roush, age 12, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Retta Kunzman and Mrs. Matie Erhardt. The following children survive: Helen (Mrs. M.O. Strait) of Fairfield, Hubert of Burlington, Marvin of Douds and Allen of Stanwood. He is survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Mrs. May Miller of Libertyville, Mrs. Wortha Elsensohn and Mrs. Weltha Elsensohn of Douds; a host of other relatives and friends. He was a member of the Methodist church; a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge at Douds and a District Lecturer. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at Christ Methodist church in Douds, with the pastor, Rev. G. Basil Tadlock, officiating. Masonic rites were in charge of Celestial Lodge.
