Blomquist, 87, of Chicago, a former longtime resident of the Wausa area, were held at the Mission Church here. Rev. Edgar Lindstrom officiated. Burial under the direction of the Wausa Funeral Home. Mr. Blomquist was injured when struck by a car while crossing the street in Chicago on April 29. He did not regain consciousness and died last Tuesday. He was born on May 23, 1985, at Galesburg, Illinois. He received his primary and secondary education at Wausa. He married Nellie Eleanor Peterson on March 12, 1897, at Essex, Iowa. He farmed for a time, and then was in business here. He had lived in Chicago with a son for the last ten years. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Mauer, of Plainview, Nebraska, and Mrs. Fern Stout of Realto, California; two sons, Ralph and Allen, both of Chicago; four half-sisters; a half-brother; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
